Cette fois nous sommes partis dans les temps et arrivés assez tôt. Nous avons directement attaqués avec la visite du parc sauvage de Ballarat. Ce dernier, ne présentant que des animaux typiquement australiens, était très intéressant car la plupart des animaux avaient de l’espace, voire étaient libres, tel les kangourous. Le plus sympa était sans doute de pouvoir nourrir et toucher les kangourous.
Après cela nous avons facilement trouvé le backpacker: 30$ (18€), parking privé, chambres très confortables, grand salon avec écran plasma et large cuisine bien équipée. Après avoir pris l’apéro et s’être fait un barbecue on est sorti fêter l’anniversaire de la reine d’Angleterre! Au final trois bars et une boite. Premier bar dans le backpacker: le côté sympa était la cheminée avec les bons vrais australiens rustiques et la serveuse à moitié nue car soudoyée par les clients. Deuxième bar: un groupe rock jouant des autant des titres connus que du local australien - de la danse et de la bière! Troisième bar: plutôt huppé, l’escalier menant au caveau était éclairé par une rangée de chandelles. Au final la boîte: entrée libre, les videurs vraiment pas chiant, trois salles très spacieuses. Ce qui m’a le plus plu a été le fait qu’ils coupent le son techno-rap-rnb-pourri pour passer un groupe bien rock qui a du ouvrir avec une reprise de AC/DC! Les gens étaient plus ouverts au groupe qu’au son craché par le DJ: cela m’a fait vraiment plaisir de rencontrer cette mentalité ici! Ce soir je n’ai pas compté les bières, nous sommes rentrés sous la pluie à pas d’heure, ayant perdus certains membres en cours de route.
Deuxième jour. Mal de crâne! Non, je déconne, pas pour moi J. Par contre du mal à me lever, mais bon ça ce n’est pas une nouveauté. D’abord j’ai commencé à chercher la restaurant cuisinant crocodile, serpent, etc. Après 20 min. de recherches j’ai abandonné pour m’orienter vers un Fish’n Chips où nous avons pu manger du requin (toujours mieux que rien). Après cela direction Sovereign Hill. Il s’agit d’un ancien village exploitant les mines d’or de la région il y a environ 150 ans. Si cela aurait pu paraître intéressant du fait de la conservation parfaite des industries et des habitations, nous avons un peu tous trouvés cette visite ennuyeuse, commerciale, trop chère! Il faut avouer qu’ils ont le mérite d’avoir introduit des comédiens faisant vivre le village; c’est plutôt bien vu. De plus ces gens commercent, donnent des explications, etc.

This time we started right at time and arrived early at destination. We have directly visited Ballarat's wildlife park. The latter, composed only by Australian animals, was really interesting because most of the animals have space, verily free, like the kangaroos. The most nice was undoubtedly to being able to touch and feed the kangaroos.
After that we found easily the backpacker: $30, private parking, comfortable rooms, huge living room with plasma TV and large kitchen. After having aperitif and some barbecue we celebrated English queen's birthday! Finally, following Australian people we have met in the street, we went to three bars and one night club. The first bar was located in the backpacker: the interesting thing was to drink close to the chimney with countryside Australians, served by a half naked waitress paid by the customers. Second bar: a rock band plaid famous titles as much as Australian songs – beer and dance! Third bar: pretty posh, the staircase illuminated by candles. Finally the night club: entry free, cool security, three huge rooms. What I liked at most was that they cut the techno-rap-rnb-shit to swap with a good rock band which opened with a song of AC/DC! The people were more receptive on the band than they were on DJ's music: I was really pleased to meet this mentality here! This night I didn't count the beers. Moreover we came back under the rain and have lost people on the way :)!
Second day. Headache! No, I'm joking, not for me :). However, I had some difficulty to get up, but that is not a novelty. At first I began to search the restaurant serving crocodile, snakes, etc. After 20 min. I abandoned to search to point to a fish'n chips where we could at least eat shark. After eating we took the road to Sovereign Hill. It's an old village which exploited the golden mines 150 years ago. If this visit could be interesting because of the conservation of the industry and the houses, we found all that this visit was boring, commercial, too expensive! It has to be confessed that the introduction of role-players was a quite good idea, but not sufficient to convince us! Furthermore, these people trade, give explanations, etc.
